Being Vegan in the Office
Being Vegan can be seen by many as a very challenging diet. The difficulties during lunch hour, watching what co-workers are eating, may be a struggle for some. But with a little imagination and forward planning, it can be easy!
Morning

Vegans will have to swap out normal milk for soy milk. Many employers these days supply this milk alternative, but if not it may be worth bringing in your own, especially as it doesn’t need to be refrigerated until after it’s been opened!
Lunch

Lunch can be tricky as a Vegan. So rather than going out for lunch every day, why not prepare your own lunch the night or morning before work? This could also save you some money!
Celebrations

There are many celebrations in the workplace, from birthdays and weddings to Christmas and new years’ parties. These usually involve cake and other sweet snacks. Unfortunately, many of these products aren’t Vegan, but fortunately there are some great brands such as NAKD and Honey Rose, offering tasty Vegan treats in this area. Why not speak to your office manager about your dietary requirements, so they can be aware of all the Vegan options for your office? And, remember to enjoy yourself!
After-work

It’s the end of the day and everyone is going out for a few after-work drinks. Don’t panic! Thankfully there are plenty of alcoholic drinks that are suitable for Vegans, such as Budweiser, Corona, Peroni, Heineken and Becks to name a few. Also, many cocktails made with Spirits like gin, vodka, whisky and brandy are all Vegan friendly too, so it’s good news all round!
