7 Tips for Surviving Your Office Christmas Party
1. Don’t drink too much

Have a glass of water after every other drink you have. You wouldn’t want your boss to find you overturned on the desk!
2. Mind the mistletoe

Now, we’re not saying that there’s anything wrong with having a crush on a colleague, but just make sure they feel the same way before jumping under the mistletoe! Oh, and keep in mind that you could be sharing a desk the next morning – awkward!
3. Avoid discussing promotions or pay rises

Remember it’s a party — the clue’s in the name Christmas Party — you don’t want to hassle your manager, do you? Instead, mingle and try having a proper conversation. Who knows, you might find out you have more in common than you think; and surely that puts you in a better position for negotiating pay at a later date, doesn’t it?
4. Don’t trap people in long conversations

Think to yourself, would someone be interested in listening to my entire life story for an hour? Probably not. Allow people to speak to others and avoid holding people hostage.
5. Have fun on the dance floor

Okay, so this one depends on what kind of party you’re at of course, but if at least half the room are at it, why not join them? Dance to your hearts content! Well, apart from twerking maybe…
6. Don’t use your phone after one too many drinks

Well, you know what we mean, don’t you? So… TURN IT OFF!!! Unless you want to see some of your inner-most thoughts shared and retweeted in the next morning… And maybe some…awkward conversations?
7. Laugh, dance, drink, and enjoy yourself! It's Christmas!!

It’s Christmas!! Enjoy the most wonderful time of the year! Keep your standards high but don’t forget to have fun too – go on, enjoy yourself!
